I have an ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING motherboard, and recently the mic port stopped working. I was considering spending $60 on a new sound card, but decided to try this Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter instead, and I’m glad I did.

I thought I would have to take my computer to a computer repair shop in town, buy a new sound card and pay them to put it in. It probably saved me around $100 to $200 it would have cost taking it elsewhere.

CM3271 chip-set only has the capability of handling one channel for the microphone. So ...MONO MIC ONLY...
They advertise that the recording jack is also 3 pole TRS, which it is not, the recording jack is in fact 2 pole TRS.
So hopefully that helps someone?
